The State of Illinois is currently facing a serious financial problem. The Governor has warned that unless additional revenue is found to plug a multibillion dollar deficit, he will be forced to adopt a "doomsday budget," which would seriously impact The Chicago Lighthouse and other social service agencies. Please ACT Now!
| Greg Polman, director of services for independent living and community/public affairs, will be included in an ABC 7 segment Sunday, June 21 on how social service agencies might be impacted by the state budget crisis. The segment will air during the 8 a.m. newscast. Greg represented the Lighthouse during a recent press event with Karen Meyer that included a cross section of organizations serving people with disabilities, the elderly and others. |
